Infrastructure and Operations Specialist

We're seeking to add an experienced Infrastructure and Operations Specialist to our team of technologists and researchers. You'll work in a flat hierarchy with responsibilities throughout our research and execution infrastructure, from configuration to deployment. You are comfortable working independently and solving problems on your own, but will also work closely with the full team to develop and implement solutions. You are also skilled at communicating complex thoughts and ideas, and understand that documentation is just as important as the solution itself. And perhaps most importantly, you enjoy providing effective solutions to unexpected problems quickly.

Responsibilities:‍

• Triage problems as they arise and organize team members to resolve them as necessary
• Enhance and support the research and execution infrastructure
• Create, secure, and maintain databases and system architecture
• Analyze and optimize system performance

Requirements:

• Strong operations background in AWS (EC2, VPC, RDS, Batch, etc.)
• Administration experience with linux servers and MySQL databases
• Familiarity with numerous tools that support research, build, and deployment (Conda, JupyterHub, Jenkins, etc.)
• Proficient in multiple languages (bash, Python, SQL, etc.)
• Desire to solve unexpected problems quickly
• Exceptionally organized
• Skilled at infrastructure standardization and documentation
• No prior trading or investment experience required
